Guided implant surgery involves the insertion of dental implants using 3D surgical guides. The guide allows high precision implant insertion to the ideal position in the bones. With the help of special software, the implantologist virtually plans the therapy and determines the size, position, angle, and depth of the implant. Based on this design, a surgical guide is created to ensure an accurate realization of the plan. Computer-assisted implantology represents the highest standard of service and provides maximum comfort to the patient, as it permits the implant to be installed flapless.
The Guided Implant Surgery allows for the insertion of dental implants by means of the 3D surgical guide. This method allows the insertion of the implants in an ideal bone position. With the help of special software, the surgeon virtually plans the therapy and determines the size, position, angle, and depth of the implant. In this way, a surgical guide is obtained to guarantee the correct implementation of the therapy plan. Computer-assisted implantology is the highest standard of service with less discomfort for the patient, as it allows the implant to be inserted flapless.
3D technology is also used in the production of prostheses that can be ready in some cases even before the implant is placed. This means that our patients can get fixed teeth immediately after surgery, but this protocol is only possible when the stability conditions of the implant are met.

Computer guided implantology enables us to:

  • Deliver high precision and safety
  • Place the implants flapless
  • Perform surgery with less downtime (no swelling, bleeding or pain)
  • Plan or even produce the prosthetics before the implants are placed
  • Work with less complications
  • No additional cost – the service is FREE!
In ŠkodaDENT, we regularly apply 3D technology for the planning, insertion and prosthetic delivery of dental implants. Our surgical templates are made with a very high-resolution 3D print in biocompatible material that passes the sterilization before surgery. The realization of the template takes 2-3 hours including planning and sterilization. Computerized implantology is available to our patients at no additional cost compared to classic implant placement.

Dental Implant procedure

U

1. Visit

We start the therapy by examining the oral cavity, by the CBCT of the jaw, by scanning the tissues and taking photos. These diagnostic procedures are important for planning the position of your future implant and for the realization of the 3D surgical guide. In case of total edentulism, when it is necessary to reconstruct the entire dental arch (eg All on 4 or All on 6) and in the case of missing teeth in the esthetic zone, we will start with the processing of immediate prosthetics even before the surgery.

2. Implant Surgery

The insertion of the computer-guided implant causes less trauma than the extraction of the tooth. If the bone is sufficient, the implant can be inserted without cutting the gingiva (flapless implant surgery). This procedure significantly reduces bleeding, pain, and swelling after surgery, making it possible for the patient to return to his daily routine immediately. In case of lack of bone, the gingiva is incised and the bone is modified and reconstructed.

3. Prosthetics

After the healing period necessary for the integration of the implants, the prosthetic phase of the therapy begins. It involves taking the final impression and delivering the final dental crown or bridge. In this phase, all the adaptations of color, shape, and occlusion are made. The patient receives detailed implant maintenance instructions essential for the long-term success of implant therapy.

Guided Implant Surgery – Frequently asked questions

IS THE INSERTION OF THE DENTAL IMPLANT PAINFUL?
No. The procedure is painless. It is performed under local anesthetic. After the surgery, it is possible to feel a slight pain that is treated with analgesics.
IS IT ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO INSERT THE IMPLANT WITHOUT CUTS OF THE GENGIVA (FLAPPLES)?
This is not always possible. If the bone is not sufficient, it must be rebuilt or shaped through a smaller incision in the gingiva.
HOW MUCH THE COMPUTER GUIDED METHOD INCREASES THE PRICE OF THE DENTAL IMPLANT?
Does not increase at all. Our patients can take advantage of this service at no additional cost compared to the classic insertion of implants (a gift worth € 500-700)
IS IT POSSIBLE TO LOAD THE IMPLANTS IMMEDIATELY?
This depends mostly on the condition of your bones. After the procedure, the implant stability is measured and the decision on the type of temporary prosthesis is taken. A fixed prosthesis is possible under certain conditions. If the stability is not appropriate, a removable temporary prosthesis (dentures) is made, or the fixed bridge is anchored on the temporary mini implants that we subsequently remove. If the lack of teeth is not in the visible area (the posterior teeth), the temporaries are not recommended.
WHAT TYPE OF IMPLANTS CAN YOU INSERT WITH THIS METHOD?

All leading implant manufacturers have special surgical kits for computer-assisted implantology. In ŠkodaDENT we use Nobel Biocare, J Dental Care, Dentium and Astra Tech implants with a lifetime warranty.

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE DENTAL IMPLANT?
The cost of dental implant ranges from € 500 – 630
CAN I PAY FOR MY IMPLANTS IN INSTALLMENTS?
Yes, payment in installments with credit cards is only available for Croatian residents. However, payment in installments in cash is available for non-residents as the last installment is paid at the end of treatment.
DO THE IMPLANTS HAVE A WARRANTY?
Yes, of course. We use dental implants with a permanent warranty that cover all mechanical damage to the implant itself. Biological complications that arise as a result of the inflammation of the surrounding tissue due to poor hygiene, tooth decay, periodontal disease, and similar, are covered by a warranty, provided that the patient comes to regular control and professional cleanings every 6 months.
HOW DURABLE ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Dental implants do not have an expiration date. With adequate care and regular controls, they last forever.
